Overview
The Inside Sales Associate (ISA) is responsible for supporting the sales process by managing inbound inquiries, qualifying leads, preparing quotes, and coordinating with field sales and operations teams. This role ensures customers receive timely, accurate information about modular building rentals, purchases, and services. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Support & Lead Management
- Serve as the first point of contact for inbound calls, emails, and online inquiries related to modular building products.
- Qualify leads by understanding customer needs, project timelines, budgets, and required building specifications.
- Assign and route qualified opportunities to appropriate field sales or account reps.
- Maintain excellent customer service throughout the early stages of the sales cycle.
Sales Support & Quoting
- Prepare and deliver accurate quotes, proposals, and product information for standard modular building fleet units.
- Provide customers with availability, pricing, and configuration options based on current inventory and company guidelines.
- Assist with contract preparation, processing rental agreements, and verifying documentation accuracy.
- Follow up on open quotes and inquiries to help convert leads into closed deals.
Database & CRM Management
- Enter and maintain all customer interactions, opportunities, and updates in the CRM system.
- Track lead activity and ensure data accuracy for reporting and forecasting.
- Generate reports as needed to support sales team performance and operational planning.
Coordination & Communication
- Collaborate with field sales, operations, logistics, and service teams to confirm building availability and delivery schedules.
- Communicate customer requests and feedback to leadership to support continuous improvement.
- Assist with coordinating order handoffs from sales to operations.
Qualifications
Required
- 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or administrative support (preferably in construction, equipment rental, modular buildings, or related industries).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Preferred
- Knowledge of modular buildings, construction terminology, or rental fleet operations.
- Experience preparing quotes or pricing packages.
- Familiarity with reading or interpreting basic floor plans or technical specs.
