Regional Sales Manager

Overview

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for leading, developing, and managing sales activities for modular building products and services within an assigned region. This role oversees a team of field sales representatives, drives strategic growth initiatives, and ensures revenue targets are met through both fleet rentals and custom modular construction projects. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, deep industry knowledge, and a proven track record of building high-performing sales teams.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, including territory managers, sales associates, and inside sales support.
  • Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular coaching
  • Provide ongoing training on modular building solutions, sales processes, pricing strategies, and customer engagement best practices.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.

Regional Strategy & Market Growth

  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify key market segments and strategic opportunities for growth in both fleet modular products and custom modular projects.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to understand regional trends, pricing dynamics, and emerging customer needs.
  • Build strong relationships with major industry players, partners, and potential customers across the region.

Sales Execution & Pipeline Management

  • Oversee pipeline development and ensure accuracy of sales forecasting within the region.
  • Support team members in managing complex or high-value opportunities, including custom modular projects and multi-site engagements.
  • Review and approve major proposals, pricing agreements, and key customer contracts.
  • Ensure consistent use of CRM tools, data accuracy, and adherence to sales processes.

Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Provide executive-level support to key clients and attend high-stakes meetings, site visits, and presentations.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and ensure consistent delivery quality across the region.
  • Represent the company at regional trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with operations, project management, logistics, estimating, and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with marketing to execute regional campaigns and support lead generation.
  • Provide product and market feedback to leadership to assist with business planning and innovation.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5–8+ years of sales experience, with at least 2–4 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Background in modular buildings, construction, equipment rental, prefabrication, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success managing sales teams and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of both fleet rental products and custom modular project sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally.

Preferred

  • Experience selling or managing modular building solutions specifically.
  • Familiarity with construction plans, design/build processes, permitting, and project timelines.
  • Strong network of regional industry contacts (GCs, architects, developers, government clients).
