Sales Associate

Overview

The Sales Associate (SA) is responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale and lease of modular building fleet units, including temporary offices, classrooms, space solutions, and specialty modular structures. This role focuses on identifying customer needs, providing tailored modular solutions, and managing the sales cycle from lead generation to contract execution. The ideal candidate combines strong relationship-building skills with technical understanding of modular building products and fleet inventory.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and lead follow-up.
  • Manage an active pipeline of opportunities for the rental and sale of modular fleet products.
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, proposals, and quotes tailored to customer needs.
  • Conduct site visits to assess customer requirements and identify appropriate fleet modular solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of opportunities, activities, and customer interactions in CRM systems.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers throughout the sales cycle.
  • Build long-term customer relationships to support repeat business and renewals.
  • Provide product recommendations and explain features, specifications, and project timelines.
  • Coordinate with operations, logistics, and service teams to ensure successful delivery and installation.

Fleet Expertise

  • Develop a deep understanding of modular building fleet inventory, including specifications, configurations, pricing, and availability.
  • Support customers in selecting appropriate fleet products based on project scope, occupancy needs, and budget.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer market segments.

Qualifications

Required

  • 1–3 years of sales experience, preferably in construction, modular buildings, equipment rental, or related industries.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to conduct onsite customer visits.

Preferred

  • Experience selling modular buildings or rental fleet products.
  • Knowledge of temporary structures, construction/project timelines, and permitting considerations.
  • Technical aptitude for reading site plans or understanding basic construction concepts.
