Architectural Excellence : Acamedy District 20 is the highest achieving large school district in Colorado (determined by state TCAP scores) and is one of 2 school districts in Colorado to be accredited with the highest honor of distinction based on academic achievement. Acamedy District 20 called upon Aries Building Systems to deliver 8 relocatable education buildings in Colorado Springs to accommodate their growing enrollment. Each untit provided measured 60’ x 23’-6” and came equipped with marker boards and tack boards to be installed on-site. Each unit possesses 2 classrooms measuring 646 square feet and includes gutter systems and safety measures such as firewalls and extinguishers. As usual, all units were transported via Aries Building Systems truck and trailer system and installed on a temporary foundation to minimize on-site disruption.

Through careful planning during the factory manufacturing phase, our process proves 30% more waste efficient, cutting down on building material waste and ultimately, the bottom line.

Technical Innovation : The importance of a comfortable and durable space was communicated by ACA 20 as the primary goal for this project. Therefore, we maintained a simple, straightforward design aesthetic and environmental standard. Aries Building Systems excels at prioritizing sustainable and cost-efficient solutions at lightning speed. We constructed each unit using low-voc materials and coatings as well as “breathe-friendly” insulation and heat-loss systems. Our windows feature low E coatings to suppress heat flow and the HVAC units are equipped with heat pumps. Finally, each structure can be easily expanded with additional modules to create extra space. The result is a design that is focused on maximum impact within good sense and schedule of construction.
