Architectural Excellence : The barracks building consisted of sixteen units. (eight 14’ x 56’ and 14’ x 64’) to provide a total square footage of 13,400 square feet. A new exterior stucco finish was applied on site to match the exterior finish of adjacent buildings at the Military Base. The interior finishes were updated to include new carpet, ceiling finish and wall finishes. The building was installed on a permanent, engineered, poured-in-place concrete foundation. The installation, including the renovation work, was completed within 50 days of date of award of contract.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : Use of the renovated building as a barracks facility provided a very cost-effective end product for the Army National Guard and because of the replacement of finishes, inside and outside, the building appeared to be new in almost every respect. All renovation work was completed on site after the building was setup on the foundation and utilities connected. The 50 days it took to complete the project provided a much needed facility in a very short period of time.
