Additional Info
Award Winner : Metric Modular
Architectural Excellence : This turnkey project included site preparation, foundation and site services. The building is located at one of the ferry terminals on Vancouver Island and was designed to BC Ferries' architectural guidelines for an extremely heavy traffic volume.
Large, high windows at the front, back and above the doors maximize natural light. The building was designed with overhangs to protect against inclement weather and add architectural interest.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : Tile covered walls and seamless, heavy-wear vinyl flooring provide ease of cleaning and maintenance. Auto shut-off interior lights reduce energy costs, metered faucets and auto-flush toilets reduce water consumption.
