Central Parking Systems
Additional Info

Architectural Excellence : The building was designed to provide interaction between its employees and its customers in a secure yet customer-friendly environment. The interior floor plan included a large private office and break room with additional counter space and a sink for a customer service area. A storage room with exterior access was an important feature to the floor plan as it solved the need for security. Customers were serviced quickly with the addition of a Quick Serve window. A Hardi Stucco exterior finish was selected to give this building a professional yet customer friendly look which set it apart from the industrial type buildings in the surrounding area.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : Central Parking needed to react quickly to meet the demands of their customers by adding an additional temporary parking facility and transfer personnel to a larger/newer building. Conventional building was out of the question since the time frame would be well over 12 months to complete. We offered a 600 sq. foot modular building that would be built and installed in less than two months saving the owner time and money in operating costs. In order to expand the life expectancy and provide savings in utility and maintenance costs, the building was designed with a rubber roof, aluminum down spouts, solid core doors and double insulated exterior windows.

Technical Innovation : The customer required a means of providing quick access to its customers without the customer needing to exit a vehicle. A “quick serve” window was installed which provided access for transactions and instant communication between employee and customer. Another problem occurred when the customer was told there were many wetland and other environmental issues on the site. The method of installation was immediately changed and a slab foundation with sonotubes was designed and installed prior to the building being now set with a crane. Because of the large exchange of currency occurring in the building, the customer had a problem with outside subcontractors having too much access to the building. It was necessary to have storage space with exterior access. That concerned was addressed in the floor plan by providing a large storage area for equipment and supplies that could only be accessed from the exterior of the building.
