Architectural Excellence : Temporary placement of branch offices is a common practice in the banking industry and allows the company to test the demand in a community. The requirement for this project was a temporary building that could be removed if a base market could not be established. M Space was able to meet the challenge of a short time frame with modular construction. A 28’ x 76’ modular building was designed and manufactured with special features including a secure drop box and drive-thru teller windows. The bank’s safe area was a shell that was outfitted on site with a significantly increased floor to accommodate the vault. Designed as a temporary building with a Hardi-panel exterior, the bank incorporated teller and office areas along with ADA compliant restroom facilities to accommodate both the staff and customers. The building was designed to allow light fixtures and HVAC ducts to be attached to the interior rafters with the ceiling added on site later.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The modular bank building was designed so that it could be easily relocated. By specifying the special design considerations early and incorporating them into the manufacturing requirements, the project costs were manageable and the need for on site construction was minimal.

The work was done on site within days.
