Architectural Excellence : Considering the location where this building was intended to be installed, the architectural design was made to be able to get to final destination via ground transportation to Port, sea lifting with delivery 3 weeks after via a barge to shore, pull with loader on shore and brought to its final destination. In addition the building was designed to perform in extreme cold weathers where temperatures as low as -76o Fahrenheit (or -60o Celsius) and blizzards are common during winter months.
The complex includes 5 classrooms of 1125 S.F. (25’x45’) with common corridor connecting to a building where kids can have access to toilets. This approach was selected to control cost as the community does not have access to sewage and fresh water. Everything has to be self-contained, which drove the decision to connect the classrooms to an existing building.
