Architectural Excellence : The Los Angeles Stadium and Entertainment District at Hollywood Park is a monumental project covering 298 acres and will feature a 70,000-seat stadium for both the LA Chargers and LA Rams. A construction site of this size requires numerous mobile offices for the project contractors. Williams Scotsman approached the temporary space solution aspect in two phases. Phase 1 was accomplished by taking DSA classrooms and converting them into HCD buildings as well as using section modulars to create different applications, such as:
• 96’ x 60’ Meeting Room
• 36’ x 40’ LA Rams Ownership Office
• 24’ x 40’ Safety/First Aid Office
• 24’ x 40’ Design Team Office
Phase 2 concentrated on the above-mentioned 60-plex, which is the office space for the Turner AECOM Hunt team for the duration of this 3-year project. Common decking is shared by all of the modular units.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The floorplan was finalized with the Turner AECOM Hunt team in late 2016 after many versions, and doing this prior to construction allowed for all fabrication to be done at the factory simultaneously to site preparation. This feature of modular construction reduced costs, saved time and allowed the customer to immediately occupy a building as each modular was set.
