Architectural Excellence : Design and construction management company, Maple Reinders required a modular office facility that would be relocatable after the expansion of the waste water treatment plant in Oakville, Ontario was completed. BOXX Modular was approached with very specific requirements; the customer needed an on-site office facility to accommodate a multidisciplinary team of engineers, contractors, consultants, inspectors, and administration staff within 30 days. BOXX Modular custom designed a 2,400 square foot u-shaped engineer’s facility comprising of a multi-functional space including offices, workstations, private washrooms, shower, and lunchroom. Within 30 days BOXX Modular, in collaboration with manufacturing partner Enfab designed, built and installed the custom engineer’s complex.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The cost effectiveness of using easily re-locatable modular units to complete the facility was a deciding factor for Maple Reinders. BOXX Modular operated efficiently as the engineer’s complex was ordered at the end of July and was custom manufactured and onsite within 30 days. This synchronized construction process provided Maple Reinders with a seamless installation process and minimal disturbances at site. BOXX Modular’s expertise in delivering engineering complexes similar to the product delivered on this project allowed for an expedited manufacturing and installation process which saved Maple Reinders time and money. Having the product under manufacturer and component warranty mitigated risk and potential maintenance costs on behalf of the client. Being a rental project, Maple Reinders did not have to concern themselves with having to dispose of or relocate the facility once the project is complete as the dismantle service is managed by BOXX Modular.

Technical Innovation : BOXX Modular delivered a custom built modular facility comprising of three modular units within 30 days. Each custom built module was a different shape and size with different frames and roof lines. BOXX Modular demonstrated technical innovation by ensuring that the product was designed and installed in a way that allowed for a seamless and secure office complex. One of the three modular units was manufactured frameless with a steel exterior including a triple beam perimeter which allowed for superior durability and higher quality installation. The strength and durability of the steel exterior and triple beam perimeter ensured that the potential relocation of the modules would easily maintain the integrity of the original structure. The modular complex was constructed using thermal windows utilized for higher energy efficiency, allowing for natural light and quality heat insulation. The t-bar ceiling design and fire-rated ceiling cavity allow for natural air flow and improved air quali
