Architectural Excellence : This 13645 square foot, 24-module multi office complex posed architectural challenges due to its angled layout. Not only is the building configured in a 90-degree angle shape, but almost each module is offset to the next as well. The building has practically no straight lines, which made floorplan alterations difficult as well. Hallways had to be preserved to guarantee connectivity in between sections.
The exterior of the building presents an ageless and simple design, which was chosen with future relocation and functionality in mind.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The building, its modification and relocation cost only a fraction of what a complete new structure, modular or stick built, would have cost. The cost was a combination of what the customer paid for the actual structure as well as the cost to remodel and relocate the building. The new site was only 20 miles from the original location, which saved money on transport. The customer was also able to use some volunteer work, donated by church members. Overall it is fair to state that without using this building for the new church and office complex the customer would not have been able to afford a structure that met their needs.

Technical Innovation : The technical specifications of the structure had to be updated to meet current standards and codes. He building was originally built in 1989. Fire code compliance and seismic capabilities had to be modified and changed, to meet local jurisdiction requirements for fire separations and zoning. The occupancy change required additional modifications. The building went from a multiple office business center to a church classroom and office complex and area separations were necessary and had to be followed.
