Architectural Excellence : The new OGEC Cracpw Fly Camp Africa project for Tullow Oil plc and Total plc is a technical mobile and self-sufficient fly camp meant to serve at oil rigs both in Uganda and Ethiopia. Meeting the current demand for state-of-the-art modular buildings in the oil industry expanding in Africa, it is a self-existing multi-functional area, built of recycled converted first trip metal sea containers. The total amount of 18 units is 4500 sq. ft. Apart from basic facilities and all types of media installations, our main product within the specialized units is a water treatment plant, biological sewage treatment plant for 200 people and a waste incinerator. Additionally, the site consists of amenities which serve a modern rig: comfortable wooden laminated chipboard rooms, a medical lab, fully-equipped senior and junior kitchens, sleepers or offices.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The facility is 100 percent factory completion; that includes all system testing and sign off. This is especially important given the geographical location of the camp's final destination. All fixtures are chosen for their low-volume and low-energy use abilities. The 2,4 inch sandwich panel is a great advantage as far as thermo-insulation parameters are concerned. Also, it allows for a larger usable space. Essentially, the low-volume and low- energy fixtures limit and control the client’s needs to reload on natural resources, e.g. all units are white coated serving as a heat shield. Each module is constructed so as to be aerodynamic in order to be transported both offshore and onshore with utmost ease to such locations as Ethiopia, for example. The quick erection process at site reduced to minimum, the usage of recycled containers and the rapid transport system, contributes to cost effectiveness and an eco-friendly approach.

Technical Innovation : Our innovative product within this camp is the biological sewage treatment plant in converted sea container. Fabricated in Poland and then sent to African oil and gas sites, it is ready to plug and play in very special conditions. The sewage plant is based on aeration activated sludge biological treatment, the biological oxidation process of which is panel controlled. The OGEC Cracow Fly Camps Africa is structurally, mechanically and electrically prepared for easy and rapid connection and erection. The entire facility is structurally supported on steel frame, which serves a permanent foundation for the facility. The modules were designed on the basis of regular sea containers maintaining their exterior dimensions with international heavy truck transport functionality.
