PBG Techical Buildings - Snowidowo Project
Additional Info
Award Winner : Kan-Bud
Architectural Excellence : The construction of the PBG project was born out of a need to cover specialized technical and gas equipment. The technical complex is located close to a small village Snowidowo near Grodzisk Wielkopolski, Poland. The construction of the project was built of steel structure covered by fire-proof sandwich board. The architectural design of the roof slope corresponds with the neighboring village buildings. The white, blue and orange color of the covers provides an attractive architectural view. The main aim of these buildings is maintaining the required temperature of gas equipment and security protection.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : In all European countries, the cost of shipping is huge. Therefore, the technical building elements were delivered to site. Moreover, the covers are prepared for easy and rapid assembly. The sandwich boards which have already been used in the project are an excellent building thermal insulation system. Thus, this reduces heating power energy.

Technical Innovation : The design priority and basis for steel construction buildings was to provide the client with specific design intent. The location of the complex required a specific sound-resistant and fire-proof system. The structural steel frame with the addition of specially designed doors and windows is to protect the occupant in case of fire situation. The edifices are able to be disassembled and are portable due to steel skids. The entire modular complex is wired with explosion proof wiring and fixtures.
