Architectural Excellence : The octagonal shape and elliptical roof is eye catching. Smooth metallic aluminum cladding and frame work provides a modern attractive appearance. Stainless steel exterior service counters are extremely durable and match well with metallic appearance. A perimeter roof overhang provides protection and allows recessed exterior accent lighting. Open service windows and built-in ATMs are protected by rolling security shutters during off-hours. Rear mechanical/electrical room houses neighboring fountain equipment. Interior plastic-laminate millwork and counter top surrounds the attendant thus providing adequate work space and storage. The raised disk rubber flooring is durable, non-slip and color coordinated.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : The perimeter overhang reduces solar heat gain during the hottest times of the day. The rigid steel frame floor structure allows the whole kiosk to be relocated with one forklift or pump-truck in little time. Off-site fabrication of this kiosk allowed simultaneous construction of customer’s foundation and surrounding water features thus reducing overall construction time. The back of the kiosk is dedicated to storage but also houses water feature services. This eliminated the requirement to house this service equipment in a separate structure and it reduced the length that the services would have to be run underground.

Technical Innovation : The aluminum frame system provides support for the upper roof system while doubling as a ‘slim-line’ window frame. A centrally located internal roof drain removes rain water and air conditioner discharge from recessed roof. Built-in rolling security shutters virtually disappear above but when the booth is locked up during off-hours they securely cover service windows and ATMs. Stainless steel floor frame perimeter provides long term durability.
