Architectural Excellence : The architecture was design in collaboration with our client Teletón, because of the special needs of the patients. The complex is located 500km from Tecno Fast plant in Lampa and consist in a single floor building, with 26 modular units allocated in the perimeter, supporting a group of metal trusses that gives a 1786,81 sq ft covered patio and connect all the offices, kinesiology rooms, bathrooms, infirmary and healthcare personnel facilities. Teletón needed a quick, good quality after a tsunami in 2015 destroyed their old facilities and could not wait for a 2 year traditional construction process.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : Teleton charity organization didn’t have the funds needed and the site to build a permanent complex, so the Tecno Fast option was in their budget to build a transitory building that could give the community the help to rehabilitate kids and adult with special needs. Also, it will give them the opportunity to reuse the building in a couple of years in another region of Chile, after they build the definitive complex.

Technical Innovation : One of the most important aspects in the design of Teletón building, was the use of natural light in the covered patio, giving the patients a better experience. Site utilities and foundations were constructed while the building was manufactured in an off-site facility in Tecno Fast, Lampa plant. The modular units are structured in timber.
