Architectural Excellence : This relocatable modular building project was a necessary to provide temporary classrooms for a campus impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Buildings used for this project were a combination of re-utilized and new units whose components and assemblies which are efficient and structurally sound. The buildings are constructed with renewable finishes throughout and a selection of the interior and exterior finishes that are designed to stand up to the rigors of learning children. The temporary campus includes 50+ classrooms, administrative offices, and rooms for cafeteria, nurse, band, choir, PE, and computer science. In addition to building structures, Aries provided total turnkey services including engineering utilities and all site finishes.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : Aries Building Systems, LLC worked closely with the school board to provide fully operational temporary structures that were comfortable, functional and cost-efficient while permanent structures are re-constructed. A combination of re-utilized and new structures were transported and installed in over 130 sections and include 17,000+ square feet of elevated canopies and walkways. Aries Building Systems, LLC coordinated all utility connections, fire alarm and communications infrastructure ensuring costs were kept at a minimum. All finishes used during construction are renewable, contributing to lower maintenance costs, and nearly double the lifespan of a standard relocatable classroom.

Technical Innovation : Aries Building Systems, LLC worked closely to provide a fully functioning modular campus to accommodate 1,500 displaced students enrolled at Texas City ISD. As a temporary solution to floods in the area, the school board was not only looking for a sustainable option, but a relocatable one as well and the innovative modular design increased the flexibility of the buildings, reduced the dreaded infrastructure time and environmental impact. The modules were designed with relocation and reusability in mind when the permanent structure is completed. The building’s modular design ensures reduced maintenance costs and increases the lifespan of the campus structures without sacrificing quality and style.
