Architectural Excellence : As the world of modular building continues to expand, a new architectural aesthetic is needed. The Office takes a traditional modular building and updates its aesthetic to a new paradigm, a paradigm that emphasizes and celebrates a modular look and feel in a truly architectural way. No longer dependent on staid traditional style limitations, The Office is modern in look and new building technologies.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The Office remodel provides an extremely efficient building envelope, new energy-efficient HVAC system, low energy light fixtures, setback thermostat and occupancy sensors that will greatly reduce the overall energy load. In addition, the upgrading of aging building components will extend the overall life of the building dramatically, decreasing the overall life-cycle costs of the original and remodeled components well into the future.

Technical Innovation : The Office takes a very typical 1980s modular office that relied on traditional building methods and styles and updated it to be a high-performance, energy-efficient building that expresses its upgrade in its image. The project is primarily an enhancement to the building envelope, the most important building component to enhance energy efficiency and the overall aesthetic appearance of the structure. The new building envelope is an extremely high performance skin that includes enhanced design in insulation, air gap sealing, moisture transmission and skin temperature controls via a unique rain screen design that creates a unique visual ‘modular’ aesthetic statement.
