Architectural Excellence : This Germany based company had to quickly mobilize for a project & house approximately 250 employees in a small Alabama town. In addition to their prime administrative needs, Thyssen Krupp also needed space for numerous sub contractors. ModSpace provided a 92 module 66,240 sq. ft. complex solution that satisfied their need for an open work space environment featuring a very large cubicle design layout for the workers. The project schedule required all 92 floors to be at the site within 3 weeks of kick off. The building layout features numerous perimeter offices, conference & break rooms, a 2,220 sq. ft. laboratory and wide open office space throughout to accommodate the office cubicles. The restrooms are centrally located in the building for ease of access for all of the employees. Pride of results can be seen everywhere from start to finish and is supported by strong customer satisfaction.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The project was an in-fleet building solution that was able to utilize many of the original mechanics after the renovation. As a 3 year old building, it had many energy efficiencies already built in that proved to be cost-effective for the customer. Our goal was to enhance energy efficiencies where needed for the customer with the intent that the next customer would be equally as satisfied. The building was set-up as a pad and pier set for easy relocation as needed in the future.

Technical Innovation : This 92 complex was originally designed with an all steel structural construction which made this building very durable and dependable. A testament to superior project management, when the set up of the building was complete the building was only 1/8" out of plumb from end to end. ModSpace supplied an in-fleet building previously used by a prime government contractor and made modifications throughout the building to accommodate the specific needs of Thyssen Krupp. Building modifications included revamping the electrical system, fire sprinkler system, installation of upgraded VCG walls & new flooring, revamped ceilings and additional electrical wiring to accommodate the large cubicle layout. The HVAC's are roof mounted so they were removed prior to freight, reinstalled on site and tested prior to move in. Attention to detail was given for quality completion for all interior finishes & trims. Exterior re-paint was also completed after set up to ensure the highest quality possible.
