Additional Info
Award Winner : Cassone Leasing, Inc.
Architectural Excellence : The first phase of the Town of Southampton modular building was to be used as office space for its Tax Receiver/Assessor's temporary offices (Phase I). The Town decided just before the building was to be occupied to re-use the space as its Justice Court building. The original building consisted of eight modules (5,800 sq. ft.). The Phase II addition consists of 11 modules (7,300 sq. ft.) and a renovation of the existing space including a corridor linking the two buildings together.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The phase I building was just about centered on the property. We had to crane set phase II. Ceramic tile was specified in all the entryways, Armstrong luxury 24' x 24' vinyl tile in the corridors, vinyl wallcovering and Kemlite in prisoner's holding cell/bathroom walls, kevlar and bullet resistant glass in walls/windows.

Technical Innovation : The building had to be re-classified from office space to assembly. We had to create secure areas for loading and unloading prisoners and create separate corridors for prisoners leading into the three court rooms and away from the Jurors and Judges.
