Architectural Excellence : In the massive rebuilding effort that was so much a part of life in the Gulf Coast after Katrina, reconstruction of medical clinics was a priority. And no one was better suited to meet that need, then the MedBuild Division of Resun Corporation. Working closely with the Veteran's Administration in Louisiana, MedBuild provided more then 10,000 square feet of high tech medical/clinical space in support of our veterans, served by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The exterior is finished with a stuccoflex siding which enhances it's more permanent look and better blends in with the surrounding structures. A concrete handicapped ramp allows for ease of accessibility. The clinic for the VA in Hammond truly represents the best that modular has to offer.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : Cost effectiveness and energy efficiency were incorporated into all aspects of the buildling. The floor is insulated with R19 unfaced insulation with ceramic tile in the entryway and restrooms. VCG on the interior walls with R11 unfaced insulation. The roof is insulated with R22 unfaced insulation. Tyvek vapor barrier was used under the siding. Fixed commercial grade glass was used on the windows.

Technical Innovation : The main technical innovation for this project was the speed to occupancy. For a medical facility of this quality to be delivered and ready for occupancy in a matter of a few months is unheard of in the world of traditional construction. By partnering with MedBuild, the VA was able to address the needs of their patients with as little disruption to their care as possible and without comprimising the integrity or quality of their facility.
