Villa San Lorenzo
Additional Info
Award Winner : ATCO Structures & Logistics Ltd.
Architectural Excellence : The Villa San Lorenzo is located high in the Andes Mountains in dusty desert surroundings. To mitigate the monotony of the location, the exterior finish features a bright blue and yellow colour scheme. The facility is located at a copper mine and surrounded by utilitarian industrial structures. In an effort to distinguish this building from the surrounding construction, it was provided with an upgraded facade, including parapets and other design features.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The project incorporates upgraded insulation in external walls and roofing as well as high quality thermal windows to mitigate the extreme temperature of the desert location.
