Architectural Excellence : An EF-4 tornado struck Louisville, Mississippi on April 28th, 2014 leaving a devastating path 35.5 miles long and 0.75 miles wide. Winston Medical Center (WMC) was severely damaged and was not able to provide services for local residents and those in the path of the tornado. WMC worked with BOXX Modular to evaluate and determine the best way to provide these needed services in the shortest amount of time. In 9 days BOXX Modular’s team was able to install a fully functional clinic/screening facility including interior build-out and customization, concrete building access systems, fire alarm and associated work.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : Modular construction allowed WMC to be completed in a fraction of the time that would have been taken using standard methods. BOXX Modular’s decision to modify an existing facility provided WMC the most cost effective option. Utilizing maintenance free concrete access systems delivered long term cost savings compared to traditional wood systems.
